My title of this article was an allusion, if you will, to your site. In fact, I feel that your site is doing many things right! What I think makes SimplyHired.com stand out from the rest is that it provides job postings from not so well known job boards, such as JournalismJobs.com and so on. One feature I would love to see on your site, Dave, is the ability to filter the types of job search engine one’s results come from. I don’t know if there is a way you could categorize them somehow? That way a job-seeking individual could focus their search on the more personal sites I speak of in my article above.

Concerning data categorization, it would be very dependent on the type of information you are provided by your sources. Just shooting from the hip, you could use criteria such as an exposure/competitive scale for each listing (obviously Monster has more site exposure than The Orange County Register, therefore the jobs being more competitive for an applicant). Maybe exposure or competitive wouldn’t be the best title for the scale, but something along those lines could really give an individual an indication of how personable the listing is?
