Once during college when I lived on campus as an RA, I discovered that my passenger side window had been smashed. The creep that did it had ripped my stereo out, but failed to get it out without busting it anyway.

It was an old Ventura, and I found a salavage yard that let me have the glass for $25. The glass company offered to install it for $50. Okay, not serious money these days I guess, but it still kind of irked me 16 years ago.

I took the glass back home and decided to install it myself, never having done that before. It was freezing and snowy outside, but it took me only 5 minutes to remove the car door entirely. With my passenger door and glass by my nice cozy fire it took me about fifteen minutes to install the new glass :D

The moral of the story is, glass installers are apparently worth $200 an hour, or possibly more, seeing as how I could have done it faster next time.
